The Production Manager ensures high-quality flour milling operations. Responsibilities include overseeing mill performance, managing production schedules, leading the team, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize Mill Performance: Ensure efficient operation of milling equipment and processes. Monitor production rates and address performance issues.
- Manage Production: Ensure production schedules are adhered to, adjusting as necessary to meet customer demands and operational constraints.
- Ensure Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance processes to maintain product standards. Resolve any quality concerns swiftly.
- Enhance Processes: Identify and implement improvements to increase milling efficiency and reduce waste. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in extraction efficiency, milling yield and continuous enhancement.
- Lead the Team: Supervise and train production staff, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations. Ensure all milling processes comply with food safety regulations, including FSSC22000, Halal, GMP, SIRIM, HACCP standards etc.
- Prepare Reports: Generate reports on mill performance, production metrics, and any operational issues. Document activities and corrective actions.
- Manage Costs: Monitor and control production costs, including overtime, implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
- To perform and discharge promptly and efficiently any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in food production management or a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a leadership capacity and exceptional hands-on exposure leading the operations function in similar profession.
Soft Skills:
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage production schedules, and optimize processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Strong communication / inter-personal skills with all levels of employees.
