About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead operations at a newly established electronics manufacturing facility in Perak. This is a rare opportunity to shape production systems from the ground up, drive operational excellence, and build a high‑performing team in a fast‑growing global organization
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee new line setup, equipment installation, and production readiness.
- Develop production systems, SOPs, and manpower structures for a greenfield site.
- Collaborate with engineering on manufacturability, process capability, and layout optimization.
- Manage daily production operations, ensuring output, quality, and on-time delivery targets.
- Lead a large direct labor workforce (hundreds of assemblers/operators) with supervisors and line leaders.
- Drive manpower planning, training, and competency development.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs: productivity, yield, scrap, cycle time, and customer delivery performance.
- Champion SPC, process capability studies, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Facilities to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Support customer audits, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Provide input to long-term capacity planning and expansion.
- Develop succession planning and leadership pipeline within production.
Candidate Profile :
- 10–15 years in electronics/EMS/PCBA/power supply manufacturing, with proven success in new plant or line setup.
- Strong background in HMLV, PCBA assembly, and power supply products.
- Hands-on leader with experience managing 500–1,000 operators in a structured production environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, SPC, process engineering, and ramp-up methodologies.
- Strong communicator, decisive, able to thrive in a fast-paced setup environment.
- Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing/Industrial Management preferred.
