The ideal candidate will own the entire production process. They will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence. The will also run quality assessment to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and operational targets
- Optimize production processes and workflows to enhance productivity, efficiency and quality
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Manage and coordinate the activities of production teams, ensuring they are properly trained and motivated
- Work closely with the procurement, quality assurance and logistics teams to ensure seamless end-to-end operations
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to proactively address equipment and facility issues
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Operations Management or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the glove/plastic/shoe manufacturing
- Proven track record of driving production efficiency, quality and cost improvements
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and organizational skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of production management software
- Familiar with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies
- Good understanding of supply chain management and logistics operations
