Job Summary
Our client, an established electronics manufacturing company, is looking for an experienced Production Planner to manage production scheduling, material planning, and coordination across multiple teams and regional offices. This role ensures on-time delivery, efficient production flow, and optimized inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage daily/weekly/monthly production schedules.
- Plan material requirements based on customer forecasts, orders, and capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Warehouse to ensure smooth material flow.
- Track plan vs actual, highlight risks, and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Support capacity and resource planning.
- Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Ensure production plans align with customer delivery commitments.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Liaise with Hong Kong HQ and China plant on production planning matters.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 36 years of experience in production planning, ideally in electronics or PCBA manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and scheduling tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good analytical skills and proficiency in Excel (data analysis, planning reports).
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin & Cantonese.
