This position is a Production Planner responsible for developing and coordinating the overall production schedule to ensure smooth manufacturing operations. Key duties include planning and adjusting production schedules, coordinating with packing and inspection processes, and monitoring materials, equipment, and manpower.
The role also involves managing production disruptions, delivery timelines, costs, and continuous improvement activities. Daily communication with Japan headquarters in Japanese via Teams and phone is required to report production status and align on adjustments.
This role acts as a key coordinator between the shop floor and headquarters to ensure efficient production flow.
Planning, scheduling and coordinating production
Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management
Handling production disruptions and productivity problems
Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production
changes
To communicate with HQ
Additional information
-This position is primarily limited to production scheduling tasks.
(However, if additional tasks are assigned, the candidate will be expected to handle them as needed.)
-The role involves direct communication with production operators.
-Communication with the Japan headquarters will be conducted in Japanese on a daily basis.
-The main communication methods will be via Teams and phone calls.
MUST TO HAVE:
Can speak and communicate in Japanese language
