Production Support Lead's Core Responsibilities
- Oversee all activities in production services team and accountable for the system working of Control-M
- Assign batch jobs and scheduler to the L1 SMC team for monitoring
- Properly arrange staff duty roster, scheduler encompassing breaks, holiday, medical leaves, emergency leaves, etc to ensure sufficient support to perform day to day management of the batch job request
- Assist and guide production services team in handling troubleshooting related to batch job scheduling, administration, job runs, change request, incident
- Ensure production services support operates in an orderly manner.
- Guide and advise production services team on daily tasks and escalations
- Assist or participate in any activities that been assigned by SMC Lead in related to production services
- Take responsibilities to perform Service Request/Change Request that raised by System or Application's team on batch job, scheduling, Control-M.
- Act as Incident Coordinator and closely work with Incident Manager on major incident and potential major incident tickets on batch job and control-M
- Prepare procedures (SOP) for Control-M and Batch Scheduling/Job support under production services support.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc report for management review.
Other-Responsibilities (Requires as standby when there is resource constraint addressed):
- Perform administration of the Control-M
- Perform daily task and change request on production services.
- Perform incident management on batch job failure/scheduler issue
- Update the L1 SMC monitoring team to ensure all batch and ah-hoc jobs are properly monitor and escalated if issues.
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree holder in Computer Engineering/ Information Technology or related disciplines.
- 3-4 years of experience in IT management or data centre operations management;
- Experience in tools used for batch job management (Control-M) will be an added advantage.
- Experience in configuring jobs in Control-M and troubleshooting failed batch jobs
- Possess Control-M certification is highly advantages
- Good understanding and with passion to learn broad knowledge on IT Operations management
- Good problem-solving skills, background analytics, a team leader attitude and focus on excellent customer service/support.
- Driven and able to multi-task, strong time management skills and strong team player.
- Willing to work on standby mode.
- Required Language(s): English, Cantonese is an advantage
