Job Description

The Programme Manager (Education) works closely with the Head of Department to lead education programmes from initiation to completion, ensuring impact and alignment with RYTHM Foundation's values. This role manages a portfolio of programmes, supervises a team, provides strategic direction, consolidates reports, and strengthens partnerships to advance the Foundation's education agenda.

A key focus includes refining the Maharani School Programme (MSP) Training Toolkit and coordinating with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to drive the Maharani Going National (MGN) initiative.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Strategy & Management

  • Plan, implement, and monitor education programmes aligned with RF's priorities.
  • Collaborate with HOD on strategy, partner selection, and new initiatives.
  • Lead flagship projects at national/international levels.
  • Oversee full revision of MSP Training Toolkit with technical partners.
  • Act as primary liaison with MOE for MGN rollout, ensuring compliance and alignment.
  • Organise events, workshops, and stakeholder engagements supporting RF's education agenda.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong partnerships with MOE, JPNs, PPDs, schools, NGOs, and academic institutions.
  • Promote collaboration and shared learning to enhance programme outcomes.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

  • Work with MEL team to capture and analyse programme data.
  • Use MEL insights to refine MSP and inform MGN decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and best practices.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage programme budgets.
  • Coordinate with Finance on tracking, reporting, and audits.

Team Leadership

  • Coach and guide programme staff to strengthen delivery and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and learning-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 8 years experience in programme management within non-profit/CSR/social development, including 3+ years working with MOE.
  • Strong understanding of MOE policies and processes.
  • Proven skills in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical abilities.
  • Passion for education equity and community-centred approaches.
  • Commitment to RF's vision, mission, and values.
