Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Program Manager role based in Kulim. To act as the strategic bridge between the global customer and the local factory. This role owns the end-to-end relationship, ensuring customer requirements are translated into flawless execution within the plant. The role also involves stakeholder communication, performance reporting, and process improvement to optimize project efficiency.
Customer Liaison & Relationship Management.
- Act as the primary point of contact and escalation for assigned customers, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
- Serve as the Champion of the Customer within the organization, ensuring that customer goals, needs, and feedback are clearly understood and translated into actionable project plans for engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Host customer visits, business reviews (QBR/EBR), and technical meetings at the manufacturing site, preparing presentations and coordinating tours to showcase capabilities and program status.
- Proactively communicate program progress, schedule changes, risk mitigation plans, and potential issues to customers with transparency and integrity.
Program & Project Management
- Lead cross-functional teams (CFT) to execute programs, managing all phases from NPI and development to production ramp and transfer projects.
- Develop and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with customer milestones and internal manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Production) to ensure customer requirements are met regarding quality, cost, and delivery.
- Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECN) and ensure smooth implementation within the factory while keeping the customer informed of impacts.
Commercial & Operational Oversight
- Manage customer forecasts, purchase orders (POs), and demand variability within the ERP system to align production planning and inventory levels.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality metrics, and inventory performance, driving corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Support the quoting process for new business by providing input on manufacturing feasibility and costs.
- Oversee contract management, ensuring adherence to terms regarding flexibility, liability, and commercial conditions
