The impact you'll make
As a Program or Project Manager at Lam, you will play a pivotal role in driving projects/programs for Global Operations at Lam Research. You'll be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project are completed on time and within budget.
In this role, you will directly contribute to business process and systems improvement.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional Project/Program Management of transformational Lam Global Operations programs that are tied to long term commitments and span cross-functional teams as well as all of Lam's geographic locations
- Promote & proliferate Project Management Office best practices across Global Operations and Lam
- Lead cross-functional teams with members from different organizations and geographies while advising teams and individuals
- Solve complex problems by bringing thought leadership and influencing
- Communicate in formal presentations to executive leadership, management, and individual contributors
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is one who has:
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects to implement business processes and systems improvements
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing people directly or indirectly in a matrixed environment
- Experience in business process creation and value chain analysis
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability to communicate with and understand business users requirements in layman terms and can translate these requirements into business solutions
- Ability to influence peers, internal customers and executives
- Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
- Expertise in problem solving and root cause /corrective action processes
- Track record of creative problem solving with business solutions
- Ability to use analytical techniques for data driven problem solving
- Track record of successful collaborations and teamwork
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a focus on and understanding of the big picture
- Understanding of when and how to escalate issues while maintaining positive relationships with team members and other organizations
- Excels in developing a culture of creativity and accountability in project teams to solve problems in new ways while keeping organizational commitments
- Able to work with minimal direct guidance or direction
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Business, Operational research, supply chain, a technical field (engineering, for example) or related field. MBA or master's preferred but not required.
- 8 years of experience in business process & systems program management and/or operations; strong knowledge of operational processes, data, tools, and improvement initiatives including experience in business process reengineering in leading/fast-growth companies
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders across a global organization
- Demonstrated leadership skills with track record of executive communication
- Advanced knowledge of the full life-cycle of software product development
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ERP systems and data management (SAP highly preferred)
- PMI, PMP, Six Sigma or other similar certification(s)
- MBA/M.S. or other advanced degree
- Experience working in Agile Methodologies as well as Waterfall
- Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle of software applications

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
