Job Description

Air Liquide Global Export Materials (ALGEM) is the Global Supply Chain Platform of Air Liquide Group for electronic specialty materials and Industrial Merchant materials in APAC, managing more than 2,500 shipments a year, for all Air Liquide Affiliates in the world.

Operating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with 3 antennas in Seoul, Shanghai and Vietnam, ALGEM manages the supply chains for gobally and regionally traded materials (SiH4, NF3, CF4, etc..), all regions included (Asia/Europe/US/Middle-East) covering mainly International logistics, assets management, Planning & Inventory for AL Affiliates. .

The Project Manager plays a key role in expanding ALGEM scope and supporting the affiliates to grow the business, develops projects which brings value to the group in terms of safety, quality, reliability and efficiency. The Project Manager will:

(1) Study, develop and support implementation of integration of affiliates supply chain, including but not limited to overseas logistics from material sources to affiliate facility

(2) Study, develop and support implementation of source switch of logistics providers which will structurally improve supply chain competitiveness

(3) Support the set up of logistics proposal to affiliates for both base business and new business

The project manager is also involved in freight forwarder management:

(i) Validate the accuracy of the logistics budget ensuring balance between quotations, costs and sales

(ii) Lead the Logistics Efficiency program for ALGEM and AL Affiliates

(iii) Manage the Freight Forwarders Key accounts for ALGEM and develop new accounts based on scope evolution

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW

Provides leadership and project management across cross-functional teams including Procurement, Supply Chain, and Commercial with respect to status, issues, risks, and project goals and objectives to ensure timely and effective completion of scope integration of ESM & ALAM activities.

In collaboration with the ALGEM Managing Director, research and identify Best-In-Class Supply Chain strategies, processes, and organizational structures to allow the organization to implement and maintain effective operations.

Publish regular updates to APAC Stakeholders (Steerco, Management team etc.) to provide visibility, point of attentions and recommendations linked to the activity managed by ALGEM (Performance, Cost control, Efficiencies etc. )

Freight Forwarder Management

  • Pilot the execution of RFQ with Freight Forwarders every 6 months
  • Ensure application of the AL Group Frame agreement with the Freight Forwarders
  • Develop relationship with new Freight Forwarders to meet ALGEM Business requirements

Logistic Control

  • Drive the ALGEM Logistics efficiencies program for ALGEM and AL Affiliates
  • Monitor the robustness of ALGEM Logistics costs structure by focusing on : Logistic Gross Margin, Heel Credit improvement, Container Lease & rotation management... etc
  • Control and Lead the closing of ALGEM Sales at the end of each month in close collaboration with the ALGEM Operations Controller through the Month End Closing process
  • Ensure shipments/orders/assets handled by ALGEM are fully covered/protected by the Marine Cargo Insurance in close collaboration with the AL Group Corporate Team: submit forecast and re-forecast.

Are you a MATCH

The successful candidates needs to have the following abilities:

1. Skilled in handling figures (including economics, costs impacts, P&L simulation, etc...)

2. Ability to work efficiently in a very international environment with people coming from all around the world (China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Europe, US, etc..)

3. Strong understanding about AL and suppliers market. Domain in electronics industry (IC and FPD), knowledge of ESM and international logistics are strongly preferred.

4. Strong business development skill, with reference in winning big projects.

5. Complex project management abilities.

6. Very organized, rigorous, reliable, analytical, transparent, diligent and independent
