With our headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, our multidisciplinary team is seeking a Project Architect
(Design & BIM) who is well-rounded in project management, design & capable of working in BIM.
Job Description:
The role requires a balanced involvement across project coordination, design, authority submissions, documentation, and site support to ensure smooth project delivery from concept to completion.
The role involves active participation in project management, design, and BIM coordination, balancing technical and creative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of overall project delivery, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met.
- Lead meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Prepare and manage authority submissions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify issues, and resolve them to keep the project on track.
- Coordinate project resources, manage team tasks, and ensure smooth project flow.
- Prepare and lead schematic design, detailed design, and documentation across all project stages.
- Provide design direction to ensure alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and the design team to finalize design details and specifications.
- Deliver design presentations and incorporate client feedback to refine the design.
- Prepare and manage BIM models using Revit, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Coordinate and maintain BIM workflows, conduct quality checks on BIM outputs and draft technical documentation as required.
- Prepare and involve in drafting of all necessary documentation, including authority submission drawings, tender drawings, and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Support BIM-related processes and ensure models reflect all technical and regulatory requirements.
- To report to the Directors and/or immediate superior and receive instructions/other duties as needed from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (LAM Part II or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, with knowledge of additional software like SketchUp or 3D rendering tools a plus.
- Experience with authority submissions and local building regulations (UBBL, planning guidelines).
- Strong understanding of technical detailing and construction coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead client meetings and collaborate with teams.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage project delivery independently.
