We're looking for a talented Project Coordinator to join our Malaysia office as we continue growing across Southeast Asia. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational and leadership abilities, a proactive approach to project execution, and the passion for delivering impactful results across various initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan and coordinate project activities from initial planning to final completion and handover to the client.
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, timeline, and schedule in collaboration with the Construction Manager (CM) or Project Manager (PM), ensuring timely completion with necessary adjustments.
- Prepare and manage site documentation, including HSE forms, Pre-Construction Survey reports, Weekly Progress Reports, and Contractor Weekly Meeting records.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Building Management Office (BMO), subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure smooth site progression and effective collaboration.
- Inspect and verify completed work against approved drawings, ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Communicate and report project progress, updates, discrepancies, and key information to all stakeholders while maintaining accurate records.
- Inform and address potential risks with CM/PM and assist to develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of any issues.
- Think and provide creative and innovative solutions to problems that arise during the project and engage in structured discussions with the CM/PM before execution.
- Learn and apply technical aspects of design, engineering principles, and construction methods to support project execution and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Enforce and monitor company safety policies, site safety protocols, and regulatory compliance always.
- Carry out other duties, activities as maybe directed by the Company from time to time, either through its management or the employee's direct report superior.
Requirement:
- 2 - 4 years experience in Commercial Fit-Out
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project Planner.
- Excellent in organisational and coordination skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize and manage pressure.
- Highly organized and capable of managing several projects simultaneously.
