We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Engineer to join our team, focusing on Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing technical execution, ensuring safety, quality control, and meeting project timelines and budgets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and validate technical drawings, project schedules, balance of system, manpower and workload forecasts, budgets, and other project-related requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for EV charging and BESS installations.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless and coordinated project execution.
- Oversee project construction, ensuring technical execution quality, safety, adherence to timelines and budgets, and meeting contractual agreements and quality control standards.
- Prepare and submit all necessary authority submissions required for project execution.
- Identify and address issues or challenges during project execution, proposing and implementing corrective measures and sharing lessons with the team to enhance department knowledge.
- Prepare materials for project handover and ensure proper closure procedures are followed.
- Conduct Testing & Commissioning activities to validate project safety and quality.
- Generate detailed reports to communicate project progress and status to internal stakeholders at various levels within the company.
- Provide feedback on product defects and non-quality issues, contributing to improvements in the procurement process.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to EV Charging and BESS to ensure all projects comply with relevant codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop IoT-based solutions that enhance the performance, monitoring, and control of solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems, EV chargers, and home automation devices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of EV charging infrastructure, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and related technologies.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Strong communication skills, able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to emerging technologies in the EV and BESS sector.
- Ability to manage and oversee projects while ensuring they are completed within scope, on time, and on budget.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
