The Project Engineer is the primary lead and single point of contact for the end-to-end execution and management of assigned projects once a contract is signed, encompassing all phases from detailed planning to final handover. They orchestrate internal and external resources to ensure project success while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage assigned projects from contract signing through to closing, taking full ownership of project outcomes.
- Verify and review engineering designs, specifications, and drawings.
- Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and technical specifications.
- Support the preparation of engineering designs and drawings.
- Monitor project progress and report on technical aspects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure Client engagement and communication throughout the whole project phase.
- Assist in the identification and resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports as required.
- Participate in site visits and inspections.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting during the commissioning process.
- Coordinate with assigned clients of project progress & technical clarifications.
- Keep track of project progress while monitoring Project Payment Milestone and liaise with Project Manager, Sales and Planning team for milestone claims.
- Prepare and obtain verification of the project completion & handover form for claim purpose.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems, inverters, energy storage, and related technologies.
- Proficient in using design and simulation software, such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or equivalent.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Passion for renewable energy and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
