About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer for WHB's Interconnection Facility and Transmission Lines project development. In this role, you will be responsible for leading various projects, solving project-related issues, proposing new initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible to obtain ROW approvals from relevant authorities and landowners.
- Propose new leads, projects, and initiatives by preparing necessary items for tender bidding submission and cost estimations for new project development. Identify significant components and requirements for projects.
- Responsible to prepare all requirements related to PSS and perform initial grid assessments.
- Responsible to address, mitigate, and resolve any issues related to project execution.
- Ensure projects are executed within the given timeline and implemented at the site according to approved designs and specifications.
- Lead and closely monitor project planning, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning by sub-contractors.
- Control and monitor project execution as per design, specifications, and plan. Recommend actions to be taken whenever necessary.
- Prepare monthly project status update reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Conduct site surveys and prepare site evaluation reports whenever necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Familiarity with the latest electricity laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years of related work experience in electrical engineering, covering both technical and commercial aspects.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with high-quality presentation and documentation skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office and AutoCAD software.
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of SCADA systems for substations.
