About the Role:
The Project Management Intern supports the planning and execution of social impact projects with NGOs and underserved communities by assisting in participant recruitment, on-ground coordination, progress tracking, reporting, and preparation of communication materials. This role involves close collaboration with the project team to ensure smooth project delivery, while handling both administrative and field tasks, making it suitable for someone organised, adaptable, and passionate about community-focused work.
Job Description:
- Assist the project manager to recruit participants, plan and implement the social projects on the ground with the targeted beneficiaries, such as NGO partners, B40 communities, Orang Asli communities, or more.
- Assist in monitoring social project progress, addressing potential risks, and reporting the project progress to the funder.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of communication materials to promote the projects to potential participants.
- Attend, contribute, and take minutes at weekly team meetings, and perform and assist on ad hoc tasks when required
Selection Criteria:
- Good command of English, Bahasa Melayu, and/or any other additional language.
- Knowledge and skill set in coordinating, developing, planning, and executing projects for social impact.
- Good problem-solving, organizational, and communication [Written & Verbal] skills.
- Ability to interpret and present information and/or data related to the projects.
- Interest and passion in social impact project management.
- Deliver effective and engaging presentations to a variety of audiences - Presentation Skills.
- Consistently approaches work with a positive, constructive attitude, an eye for detail, and seeks to improve processes.
- Optional - Having editing and design skills is a plus point.
- Able to work during weekends (depending on the project requirement, a replacement day off is provided).
- Able to travel if required.
- Will be residing in Malaysia and able to commit full-time during the internship period.
