About The Role
Bridge the gap between our Japanese clients and Malaysian development team. You'll manage software development projects from requirements gathering to delivery, ensuring smooth communication and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end software development projects
- Serve as primary liaison between Japanese clients and development team
- Gather requirements, create project plans, define scope
- Track project progress, manage risks, ensure on-time delivery
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives
- Create and maintain project documentation (Japanese and English)
- Manage project budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure client satisfaction and manage expectations
- Coordinate with development, design, QA teams
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of project management experience in software development
- Fluent in Japanese (N2 or higher) and English — REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience managing web/mobile application projects
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Experience working with Japanese clients or companies
- Understanding of software development lifecycle
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certifications
- Technical background (prior developer experience)
- Experience with offshore development projects
- Knowledge of Japanese business culture and practices
- Experience managing distributed teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field
