Job Description

Job Purpose

To lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of automation projects within the Digital Automation Centre (DAC), translating business needs into reliable, scalable and business-aligned automation solutions that improve efficiency, quality and process consistency. The role plans, executes and closes automation initiatives in line with agreed scope, timeline, quality standards and targeted benefits, while coordinating developers and project members, managing risks and dependencies, communicating progress to stakeholders, supporting agile delivery practices, and driving successful adoption and continuous improvement across business functions.


Key Tasks

. Lead end-to-end automation projects from intake, business case and prioritization through discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, hypercare and closure.
. Partner with business stakeholders to understand process objectives, define scope, success criteria, benefits, acceptance criteria and measurable KPIs.
. Coordinate automation developers, project members and subject matter experts plan milestones, sprints, resources, dependencies and delivery priorities.
. Track project progress, risks, issues, effort and dependencies, providing timely status updates and fact-based recommendations to stakeholders and management.
. Ensure automation solutions meet quality, documentation, testing, security, compliance and operational handover standards before implementation.
. Facilitate workshops for process review, requirements gathering, solution design, problem solving and continuous improvement, while supporting user adoption and benefits realization.
. Drive governance for automation demand, ensuring initiatives are assessed, prioritized and delivered according to business value, feasibility and resource capacity.
. Collaborate with automation architects, developers and support teams to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned with DAC standards and reusable components.
. Support change management activities including stakeholder readiness, communication, training coordination and transition to operational support.
. Monitor post-implementation performance, capture lessons learned and identify opportunities to enhance automation reliability, efficiency and benefit realization.


Stakeholder

. Internal business process owners, service line leads and subject matter experts across DHL Express supported business functions.
. DAC leadership, Senior Team Manager, automation developers, automation architects/design specialists and operational support teams.
. Project sponsors, regional/global stakeholders, change champions and end users impacted by automation initiatives.
. IT, information security, compliance, data governance, infrastructure and application support teams where required for solution delivery and deployment.
. Vendors, platform providers or external implementation partners supporting automation tools, integrations or specialist delivery activities.


Management Responsibility

. Provides indirect leadership to automation developers, project members and subject matter experts assigned to automation initiatives, ensuring clear priorities, responsibilities and delivery expectations.
. Coordinates day-to-day project execution, monitors workload, dependencies and risks, and escalates issues where management support or decision-making is required.
. Coaches and supports team members on project delivery discipline, stakeholder communication, documentation quality, testing readiness and continuous improvement practices.
. Influences cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority to align scope, timelines, resources, decisions and adoption activities required for successful automation delivery.
. Accountable for project coordination, delivery governance and quality of automation outcomes within agreed scope.


Education and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience.
Project management certification or practical exposure to PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Lean, process improvement, automation platforms such as UiPath or Power Automate, scripting, data analytics, or digital transformation delivery is an advantage.Education and Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, automation delivery, digital transformation, process improvement, software delivery, data analytics, shared services, or a related technology/business process environment.
Proven ability to manage end-to-end automation initiatives, including business case development, requirements discovery, planning, sprint or milestone coordination, testing/UAT, deployment, hypercare and project closure.
Experience coordinating automation developers, subject matter experts and cross-functional stakeholders able to manage risks, issues, dependencies, priorities, documentation quality and benefits realization.
Good understanding of automation lifecycle, RPA or workflow automation tools, process design, quality assurance, change management and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, prioritization, facilitation and coaching skills are required.
Compulsory English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for project documentation, stakeholder updates and workshop facilitation. Additional local or business language capability is an advantage where required for stakeholder engagement.
