Project Manager (Digital Marketing)
Salary: Up to $6500 MYR per month
Location: Malaysia (Remote)
Working hours: Mondays to Fridays (Office hours)
Job Summary
- We are hiring a Project Manager (Digital Marketing) for our client, a fast-moving digital marketing agency with remote operations.
- This is not a passive coordination role. We are looking for someone who can own timelines, enforce accountability, manage contractors, protect launch dates and make sure campaign and funnel projects are delivered on time.
- If selected, you will take ownership of agency operations, launch execution and project delivery across digital marketing campaigns, sales funnels and client deliverables.
- You will be the central person responsible for managing the launch calendar, maintaining the project management system, assigning clear tasks, tracking deadlines, identifying blockers and ensuring that every project moves from kickoff to go-live without unnecessary delays.
- This role is best suited for someone who is meticulous, assertive and highly organised. You should be comfortable chasing deliverables, escalating issues, pushing back on scope creep and holding team members accountable, including senior stakeholders where needed.
- The ideal candidate should have direct experience inside a digital marketing, creative or performance agency, and has managed projects involving copywriters, designers, media buyers, developers and contractors.
Job Scope
- Own the end-to-end launch timeline for funnel, campaign and digital marketing projects from kickoff to go-live.
- Set firm launch dates at the start of each project and work backwards to plan tasks, milestones, dependencies and deadlines.
- Maintain the project management platform as the single source of truth for all active projects.
- Ensure every task is clearly assigned, properly briefed, deadline-driven and supported with the required assets, references and acceptance criteria.
- Run daily checks on active projects to surface blockers before they become delays.
- Monitor overdue tasks, follow up with internal teams and contractors, and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
- Coordinate with copywriters, designers, media buyers, developers, contractors and senior stakeholders to keep projects moving.
- Protect launch timelines by enforcing scope discipline, especially in the final launch stage.
- Identify incomplete briefs, missing assets, unclear ownership, timeline risks and recurring operational bottlenecks.
- Document what worked after each launch and convert repeatable practices into checklists, workflows and SOPs.
- Hold regular project reviews with senior leadership covering launched projects, at-risk work, blockers and decisions required.
- Continuously improve the agency's operating system while managing live projects in a fast-changing environment.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience within a digital marketing, creative, advertising or performance agency environment.
- Proven experience managing digital launches, campaign workflows, funnel builds, landing pages or similar client deliverables.
- Able to coordinate multiple functions at the same time, including copywriting, design, paid media, development and external contractors.
- Hands-on experience with Basecamp, ClickUp, Asana, Monday.com or similar project management tools.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Not suitable for candidates who prefer purely administrative coordination, account servicing or passive task tracking.
