Senior Project Manager (Engineering / Semiconductor)
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in the engineering or semiconductor industry to drive end-to-end project delivery.
This role does not require deep technical design expertise, but the candidate must have sufficient technical understanding to interpret customer requirements, translate them into execution plans, and identify the right engineering resources. The role also includes client management, cross-functional coordination, and P&L ownership. The candidate must be proficient in Mandarin to support communication with clients, suppliers, engineers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and translate customer technical requirements into project plans and resource needs.
- Lead end-to-end project delivery : planning, coordinating, and executing engineering or semiconductor project deliverables.
- Own project P&L, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
- Track project milestones, schedules, and progress; escalate risks or delays to senior management.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, or engineering teams to ensure clear communication.
- Prepare project documentation including meeting minutes, status reports, dashboards, and presentations
- Support resource allocation, task tracking, and cross-functional team coordination.
- Organise and participate in project meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are captured and completed.
- Maintain project management tools and ensure project data accuracy.
- Drive small-scale improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimisation.
Requirements
- Degree in E&E Engineering or related technical field.
- At least 5 years project management experience in engineering / semiconductor industry.
- Proven experience in: Client-facing project management, Cross-functional team coordination, P&L / financial management.
- Ability to understand and translate client's technical requirements to internal stakeholders.
- Experience working with suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written) to interface with external and internal Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating technical/engineering tasks or working with engineering teams.
- Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, Trello, etc.).
- Knowledge of project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall) is an added advantage.
