- Develop and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
- Manages daily project operations, timelines, RAID log and documentation of one or more project(s)
- Coordinate and review deliverables prepared across internal and external teams before passing to stakeholders
- Oversees Business Analysts and PMO working on assigned project(s)
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards
- Minimizes our exposure and risk on project
- Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects
- Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
- Manages project budget and ensures timely and accurate invoicing and addresses elevated billing issues
- Lead day-to-day engagement with the vendor(s), including coordination of deliverables, issue resolution, integration readiness ad progress checkpoints
- Responsible for leading internal project team meetings across Business, IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Security
- Prepare, present and document project progress, risks and decisions for biweekly/monthly Project Portfolio forum, fortnightly/monthly project working group (PWG) and project steering committee (PSC) meetings and monthly Board committees
- Resolves and/or escalates issues promptly with proposed resolutions
- Track testing, integration dependencies and readiness for production cutover
- Coordinate and support UAT preparation, execution and migration planning in collaboration with internal IT Application, IT Security, Risk, Compliance and Business operations team
Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable)
This is a hands-on, functional project management role requiring the PM to actively drive, track, problem-solve and manage project outcomes.
- A degree in project management, business management or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years in project management, with at least 3 years in banking system implementation of financial markets
- Experiences in managing Stock Broking/Equity Trading System (Institutional and Retail)is preferred
- Proven experience managing multi-system integration or vendor-led delivery in regulated environments
- Highly proactive and delivery-oriented, able to lead and coordinate hands-on not just escalate
- Have good fundamental technical understanding on areas of application programming, database and system/application design
- Knowledge on systems/applications and client/server architectures, augmented with solid logical, systems-thinking
- Proficiency in MS Project and knowledge on business/data analysis is advantageous
- The ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and leadership skills

- Familiar with defect tool eg HP ALM
