The Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery governance of the TNB Password Modernization engagement. This is a critical leadership role requiring strong project management discipline, stakeholder management skills, and experience managing large-scale multi-state IT deployment programmes. The PM will be the single point of accountability to TNB and will manage all delivery streams, logistics, reporting, and risk management across the full 10-month engagement.
Key Accountabilities:
Own end-to-end delivery accountability for the TNB engagement across all workstreams
Establish and maintain project governance structure including Steering Committee, working groups, and communication cadence
Develop and maintain the master project plan, resource schedule, and deployment roadmap across 13 states
Manage all stakeholder relationships including TNB project sponsors, IT leads, and site coordinators
Coordinate logistics for 10 onsite engineers and 4 remote agents across 13 states in Peninsular Malaysia
Track daily/weekly deployment velocity using burn-down charts and escalate issues immediately
Prepare and present weekly RAG (Red-Amber-Green) status reports to TNB Steering Committee
Own the formal Change Request (CR) process and manage scope changes
Manage the project risk register and issue log
Coordinate site readiness checks, access approvals, and user scheduling with TNB's state contacts
Oversee OCM activities and ensure user adoption targets are tracked
Manage project financials against budget and flag variances
Lead project closure, hypercare transition, and formal handover to TNB operations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID landscape (not required to be hands-on technical)
Experience managing large-scale endpoint or device management rollout programmes
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent)
Experience with Agile delivery methodology and sprint-based planning
Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for reporting and governance
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification strongly preferred
Agile/Scrum certification (CSM, PMI-ACP) is an advantage
Soft Skills:
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Strong leadership presence and ability to manage cross-functional teams
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of IT project management experience
At least 2 large-scale (500+ users) IT deployment or transformation projects as PM
Experience managing multi-location, multi-state deployments in Malaysia
Utility, government, GLC, or large enterprise sector experience strongly preferred
Experience managing vendor-client relationships at senior stakeholder level
