Job Description

HR Transformation PMO / Project Manager

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Contract Type: Project / Contract Opportunity

We are supporting a leading global organisation on a regional HR transformation programme and are seeking an experienced HR Transformation PMO / Project Manager to help drive delivery across a complex portfolio of HR initiatives.

This role will support the planning, coordination and governance of HR transformation activity across multiple workstreams, with a particular focus on programme structure, stakeholder coordination, project reporting, RAID management and delivery discipline. The successful candidate will work closely with HR, functional leaders, project teams and broader business stakeholders to ensure transformation initiatives remain on track and aligned to business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, mobilisation and ongoing coordination of HR transformation initiatives across multiple project workstreams
  • Establish and manage PMO governance, including project plans, status reporting, milestones, dependencies and action tracking
  • Drive programme reporting, including preparation of steering materials, updates for senior stakeholders and overall project communications
  • Maintain RAID logs, monitor key risks and issues, and support mitigation planning across the programme
  • Track deliverables, timelines and ownership across HR and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Support workshops, project meetings and governance forums, ensuring clear documentation of actions and decisions
  • Coordinate with HR, technology, operations and business teams to maintain momentum across transformation activity
  • Provide structure and support around change impacts, process transitions and implementation readiness where required
  • Help drive consistency in project management standards, templates and ways of working across the programme

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a PMO, Project Manager or Programme Manager capacity within HR transformation, HR change or HR operating model / process improvement programmes
  • Open to Project / Contract Opportunity
  • Strong project governance and programme coordination experience, including reporting, planning, risk tracking and stakeholder management
  • Experience supporting complex transformation initiatives involving multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in a structured but hands-on manner, bringing organisation and delivery discipline to a fast-moving environment
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work across HR, business and project teams in a matrix environment
  • Experience in shared services, global business services, HR operations, HR systems or wider transformation programmes would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with HR functional areas such as talent acquisition, payroll, workforce management, employee services or HR technology is beneficial
