Project Manager, Solar & BESS

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of Solar PV, EV Charging Infrastructure, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from development through commissioning and handover.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, consultants, EPC contractors, suppliers, utility authorities, and regulatory agencies.
• Review technical proposals, engineering designs, and project documentation to ensure compliance with applicable standards and statutory requirements.
• Manage procurement activities, contractor performance, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation measures to ensure successful project delivery.
• Oversee construction, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project management within the power, renewable energy, or utility industry.
• Proven experience in the development and execution of Solar PV, EV Charging Infrastructure, and/or Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
• Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies, electrical systems, and grid integration requirements.
• Experience in managing EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Good understanding of contract management, cost control, and risk management principles.
• Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent will be an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
