Our Client:
We are partnering with a German based MNC that specializes in manufacturing of engineering products. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Project Manager as part of their strategic growth.
Responsibility:
- Develop and secure approval for comprehensive project frameworks, including scope definitions, milestone schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
- Generate data-driven status updates, risk assessments, and final performance evaluations for the executive steering committee.
- Maintain rigorous project documentation, including risk/issue logs, change control records, and historical lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the lead facilitator for internal handovers (Sales to Delivery) and external client kick-offs; managing expectations and clarifying the responsibility matrix across all partners.
- Direct the workflow of sub-contractors and external suppliers, ensuring information flows seamlessly between technical delivery and senior management.
- Monitor project health and resource utilization; proactively implementing corrective actions and managing deviations from the original roadmap.
- Oversee contract execution, review supplier agreements, and ensure all invoicing aligns with milestone-based payment terms.
- Manage project budgets, monitor expenses in coordination with Finance, and ensure clean project closure including warranty provisions and final vendor reconciliation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- At least 12 years of progressive project leadership within high-tech sectors such as Radio Communication, Defense Systems, Mobile Networks, or Broadcasting Technologies.
- Proven experience in project financing, sophisticated cost control, and the ability to contribute to complex solution offerings during the bid phase.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, from initial contract review to after-sales warranty handover.
