Position Objective:

To drive and support the overall new product, product enhancement and campaign delivery function through successful, timely and proper implementation of propositions/campaigns/ initiatives roadmap for Agency, Partnership Distribution and GIPA channels.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Drive, manage and coordinate the weekly New Product Implementation Committee (NPIC) to have an overview of implementation progress updates for Agency, Partnership Distribution and GIPA channels. NPIC is a cross-functional committee with representatives from all stakeholders necessary (e.g. Technology, Operations, Actuarial, Finance, channel etc.) to ensure delivery of propositions/campaigns/initiatives roadmap and reports to the Product Development Committee (PDC). This includes following-up and reviewing status updates with stakeholders involved, drafting meeting minutes for circulation and drafting the NPIC dashboard prepared monthly for timely updates to PDC.
  2. Ensure timely and efficient end-to-end system implementation to support the launch of new products, product enhancements and campaigns initiated by Product Marketing & Customer Propositions and Customer Marketing & Agency Activation teams, through planning and management of set timelines as per roadmap. This includes discussions with product/campaign managers on proposed timelines, arranging kick-off and clarification sessions with NPIC, engaging and coordinating feedback received, ensure alignment with NPIC stakeholders on timeline and effort required, conduct regular follow-up on implementation statuses via NPIC meetings and where required, arrange for special checkpoints, managing or escalating (if required) roadblocks/issues highlighted by NPIC team members.
  3. Manage any changes to ongoing propositions/campaigns/initiatives scope, requirements impacting planned timelines occurring during ongoing implementation with product managers and internal stakeholders as appropriate. This includes arranging for updates to NPIC stakeholders, managing roadblocks/issues/risks/execution challenges arising, and escalation to team lead to obtain support as necessary.
  4. Drive the closure of post Day 1 implementation items, i.e. Day 1 continued items, Day 1+ items, Day 2 / maturity-related items, Group or regulatory requirements, and other change requests/ad-hoc requests agreed by management to be managed under NPIC. This includes planning and monitoring deliverables to ensure timely and efficient implementation of the requirements and regulatory guidelines is within scope and on-time.
  5. Conduct regular discussions and engagements with product/campaign managers on progress and plan timelines for preparation of marketing materials and approvals (where required) leading to propositions/campaigns/initiatives launches and follow-up on statuses to ensure completeness prior to launch. This includes follow-up on review and sign-off of materials as part of the product governance process.
  6. To perform other responsibilities and duties periodically or involve in ad hoc initiatives/special project as assigned by supervisor to meet business needs and/or other regulatory/compliance requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Project Management.
  • Minimum 5 or more years of relevant working experience, preferably in project management role of insurance industry.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess good problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
