Job Title:Project Sales Engineer (Marine & Offshore)

Client Location:Singapore

Working Days/Hours:Monday-Friday/9AM-6PM SGT

Contract Type:Full-Time Contract

Contract Term:1 Year, Renewable

Monthly Salary:USD 1000-1400, excluding commission

Target and Commission:

  • Annual sales target of SGD 1.5M 2M
  • Commission structure: 4% of profit generated from closed deals

Job Overview:

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Project Sales Engineer to develop and manage project-based sales opportunities within the marine, offshore, and oil & gas sectors. This role combines technical expertise with commercial responsibility, requiring the candidate to support complex engineering solutions while managing the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through to project execution.

Responsibilities:

Identify and develop project opportunities within marine, offshore, shipbuilding, and oil & gas industries

Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, shipyards, EPC contractors, and offshore operators

Review client technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements

Prepare technical and commercial proposals, tenders, and bid documentation

Recommend suitable equipment and systems based on industry and classification standards

Conduct technical presentations and client meetings

Coordinate with internal engineering, procurement, and project teams for solution development

Negotiate contracts, pricing, delivery timelines, and warranty terms

Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities when required

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming project opportunities

Must-Haves:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

37+ years of experience in project sales or engineering within marine, offshore, oil & gas, or shipbuilding industries

Strong knowledge of marine and offshore systems (e.g., propulsion, power generation, automation, piping, deck machinery)

Experience preparing technical proposals and tender documentation

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications

Strong commercial mindset with negotiation skills

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Great-to-Haves:

Experience working with shipyards, offshore EPC contractors, or classification societies

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (IMO, SOLAS, etc.)

Experience with ERP, CRM systems, or project tracking tools

Exposure to international or offshore projects
