In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and scheduling efforts with project and market teams. Manage project teams in the preparation, development, and maintenance of project schedules. Develops foundational skills in scheduling systems, tools, and processes. Produce data pertaining to the development, progress, and changes of the project schedule. Participate in training efforts regarding scheduling systems, processes, and utilization. Candidates will be based on-site and must be willing to travel throughout the APAC region. Candidates based in Johor are preferreddue to project site proximity and travel logistics.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply scheduling best practices and scheduling processes utilizing the standard schedule tools.
- Support and lead scheduling and planning efforts and processes during project and program development and execution.
- Apply contractual and project requirements to the schedule while gaining an understanding of the impacts.
- Apply schedule data integrity efforts in accordance with best practices and company standards.
- Produce and distribute tailored schedule reporting to meet the project team's needs that effectively communicates issues, status, health, and progress of the execution plan.
- Apply the Haskell Policy to the scheduling cycle, including but not limited to actualizing and updating. reports, narratives, time impact analysis, and fragnet schedules.
- Support communication efforts regarding the schedule to project teams, subcontract partners, clients, and internal leadership.
- Gain understanding and knowledge of schedule change impact management.
- Learn to apply resource and cost loading as necessary.
- Understand how to produce, analyze, and distill schedule data.
- Understand and apply risk management strategies with guidance from senior-level schedulers.
- Participate actively in scheduled training.
- Travel, as necessary, to lead and support scheduling efforts
- Participates in industry events and conferences.
- Support continual improvement efforts of scheduling practices and processes.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Education & Years of Experience
- Scheduler I: Four-year degree in engineering or construction management, or 4 plus years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Scheduler II: More than 4 years in engineering and scheduling or construction management experience, or 8 plus years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial contracting environment preferred
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Solid analytic ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to organize and manage complex tasks, establish and meet schedules, and maintain focus on goals.
- Knowledge of industry planning and scheduling practices and construction methods.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications
- Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera scheduling software, including cost/resource loading and analysis.
- Work in excess of a 40-hour work week may be required.
- Must be able to physically access working areas of a construction project site.
- Must be able to travel to project sites as needed to perform essential duties.
- Must be able to travel to meet with Haskell management, clients, vendors, partners, or associations; or to attend conferences or training, as needed to perform essential duties.
- Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, field supervision, financial reporting, client relationship, computer skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of industry-standard bid practice
