Role Overview
The Project Systems Analyst plays a key role in strengthening the effectiveness of project delivery through robust reporting, system integration, and process optimisation. This role is responsible for enhancing project visibility through dashboards and analytics, improving system connectivity, and driving continuous improvement across project tools and processes.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the incumbent will ensure data accuracy, reporting consistency, and efficient system workflows to support informed decision-making within the Projects function.
Key Responsibilities
Project Reporting & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain project dashboards and reporting frameworks to provide clear and actionable insights
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of project data across all reporting outputs
- Analyse project data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement
Systems Integration & Automation
- Develop and enhance system integrations across project tools, ERP systems, and other platforms
- Drive process automation using APIs, scripting, or low-code tools (e.g. Power Automate) to improve efficiency
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and streamline workflows
ERP & Systems Support
- Support ERP-related initiatives including implementation, testing, data migration, and system alignment
- Act as a liaison between project users and system teams to ensure requirements are accurately translated
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues and ensuring smooth system operations
Project Controls & Governance
- Support standardisation of project tracking, reporting templates, and control mechanisms
- Maintain and enhance project documentation, trackers, and status reports
- Ensure adherence to reporting standards and governance practices
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify gaps in current systems and reporting processes
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, usability, and data integrity
- Support adoption of new tools, processes, and best practices across the team
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project systems, analytics, project controls, or related roles
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, VBA/Macros)
- Experience working with ERP systems (implementation, support, or integration)
- Hands-on experience with data tools and automation (e.g. SQL, APIs, Power Automate, Python or similar)
- Familiarity with BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and managing data from various sources
