Assist the Head, Fixed Income (Research) and senior analysts in identifying, analyzing, measuring, reporting, monitoring and controlling all possible risk factors associated with fixed income investment activities through thorough risk analysis to ensure sound credit risk exposure for funds managed by IMD. Accountable to produce general and specific credit views and comprehensive research analysis that are of high quality on a timely and regular basis.
Job Description
- Meticulous company-specific research through key financial analysis.
- Continually design and improve credit score forward-looking models to detect unusual accounting adjustments. Highlight where possible, critical issue relating to the risks.
- Conducts thorough quantitative and qualitative credit risk proposal for a new primary issue.
- Follows up on secondary issue to detect any variation in future cash flow projection and its possible impact on assigned rating.
- Effective report writing and communication to the Investment Committee and Portfolio Managers on credit recommendations.
- Periodic assessment and updating of the list based on the most recent research recommendations.
- Identify the right sectors and bonds via the monitoring of credit valuations and trends. Update and monitor Bond Selection List.
- Ensure consistent flow of quality investment ideas and update fund managers on relevant developments in the company, industry and overall economy.
Qualification / Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Banking, Business Studies, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong academic results with a CGPA of 3.30 and above (or equivalent) are preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial and business information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong report-writing capabilities.
- Detail-oriented, inquisitive, and passionate about conducting research and analysis.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
