PSI Engineer (Plant State Integrity Engineer)
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced PSI Engineer to lead the end-to-end management ofHexagon PAS Plant State Integrity (PSI)systems. This role is critical in ensuring safe, reliable, and optimized plant operations through real-time monitoring, advanced diagnostics, and data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full lifecycle of PSI systems, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and performance optimization
- Monitor real-time plant conditions and proactively identify anomalies to support safe and reliable operations
- Analyze alarms, boundary breaches, abnormal operating conditions, and PSI logs to generate actionable insights
- Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve plant operational issues
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams on VM provisioning, OS patching, connectivity setup, and firewall configurations
- Manage and execute incident, problem, and change management processes within PSI environments
- Ensure optimal performance of PSI modules, including:
- Alarm Management
- Boundary Management / Safe Operating Limits
- Control Loop Monitoring
- IPL (Independent Protection Layer) Management
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging operational data and system analytics
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination between operations, engineering, and IT teams
Qualifications & Requirements- 7–9 years of hands-on experience withHexagon PAS Plant State Integrity (PSI)
- Strong expertise in PSI modules: Alarm Management, Boundary Management, Control Loop Monitoring, and IPL Management
- Proven experience in PSI system implementation, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of real-time plant monitoring and anomaly detection techniques
- Strong analytical skills to interpret alarms, boundary violations, abnormal conditions, and system logs
- Demonstrated ability to derive actionable insights from operational data
- Experience working closely with IT teams on infrastructure and network-related activities
- Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management frameworks
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
