This Public Relations Executive role will be responsible for various aspects of communications for the AirAsia MOVE business. This includes the development and implementation of PR plans for all commercial products and other lines of businesses that fall under AirAsia MOVE, establishing productive relationships with local and international media both offline & online, as well as Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Initiate and build strong, productive relationships with local media publications and online portals, as well as content creators or Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Obtain favourable earned media coverage and publicity for the company's products and services.
Ability to plan and propose PR plans for the AirAsia MOVE's lines of businesses and execute them with minimal supervision.
Prepare media documents - press releases, briefing documents, speeches, content creators briefs, and all other relevant external communications materials.
Ability to translate media documents. (Bahasa Malaysia / Mandarin proficiency will be a strong advantage)
Ability to craft compelling stories and create content for AirAsia MOVE's LinkedIn channel and Newsroom. Ability to conceptualise, shoot, and edit engaging short-form video content will be a strong advantage.
Engage with communities of content creators or Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across the region, as well as organise media familiarisation trips to various AirAsia destinations, products and services reviews, and more.
Be involved in Crisis Communications training of the company as a participant.
Overall pitching of interviews for the company's spokespersons as and when needed.
Media monitoring, especially for AirAsia MOVE and its line of businesses, and preparing PR Reports for each campaign.
Ideal Background:
Minimum education is a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Fresh grads are encouraged to apply, or an internship in corporate communications/public relations experience in any industry.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal, required, and the ability to translate from Bahasa Malaysia / Mandarin into English.
Willing to learn fast on managing media & editor relations, as well as KOL-relations and able to work in a collaboration-oriented environment.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
Possess a passport and be able to travel, especially across Southeast Asia.
Ability to speak in other languages, i.e., Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
