Job Description:
- Develop and execute crisis communication strategies for critical incidents by providing timely and strategic responses to protect the brand's reputation.
- Develop and train internal teams on crisis communication protocols and media handling during incidents.
- Lead the creation of high-quality communications materials, including press releases, official statements, media responses, key message documents, speeches and executive talking points.
- Serve as the quality gatekeeper for high-risk internal and external communications, ensuring message clarity, tone, and alignment with brand values across teams.
- Monitor media coverage, social media, public sentiment, and industry trends to identify potential risks and provide real-time updates to the management through periodic reporting and analysis.
- Assist in planning, executing and coordinating events, including press conferences, media briefings, and community initiatives including managing stakeholders such as media representatives, participants and partners as required.
- Track, report and analyse performance post events/initiatives/critical incidents including recommending actionable insights to refine future execution and to identify internal procedural improvements.
- Build and manage relationships with media, industry associations and regulatory bodies to strengthen brand credibility and build strategic partnerships
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, crisis communications or similar roles.
- Strong verbal communication skills confident in handling media inquiries and speaking engagements.
- Comfortable using monitoring tools, dashboards, or analytics reports to guide decisions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Flexible and adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
