Are you the ONE we're looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Public Relations Senior Manager/Director, who will be responsible for driving and delivering client work across a portfolio of consumer and corporate brands across the B2B and B2C space. You're a natural-born leader who is results-focused without taking themselves too seriously all at the same time.

You will be responsible for overseeing and providing senior counsel on the day-to-day client, and project management. You will be responsible for ensuring that deliverables are on a budget and schedule while managing and mentoring your team. You will be involved in business development and strategic PR-related program planning. You have a solid grasp of the local media landscape with key relationships and are not afraid to provide sound communications counsel to senior clients.

What you will be getting up to:

• You will support the overall growth, and business development and manage the Malaysia office profitably (across the public relations, content, and social media arms).
• You will be the agency lead for strategic discussions and routine client/agency reviews, driving strategic planning of accounts internally and with clients, including organic growth.
• You are to set objectives for the PR team, monitor, empower and mentor your team to bring about growth and development; with a high retention rate.
• You will support in identifying new business opportunities and proposal development, being involved in client meetings to provide overall strategy and direction.
• You are accountable for the Malaysia market's overall performance and P&L.
• You will manage and oversee the execution of marketing strategies and growth campaigns to build Mutant's brand in Malaysia.
• You will mentor and build our team's capabilities and skill sets, keeping a close eye on their career development and growth in Mutant.
• As a senior leader in Mutant Malaysia, you will be a driver behind Mutant's culture and values.
• You should be Mutant Malaysia's ambassador and spokesperson in the market, building thought leadership and professional relationships with clients and relevant media.

What you need to be successful in this role:

• You have 8-10 years of experience in public relations in an agency environment.
• You have experience working with healthcare or B2B clients.
• You have a proven track record in managing and driving a profitable team.
• You have the ability to lead a steady stream of new revenue and drive new business proposals and strategies with a high win-rate.
• You possess excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• You have led a team of superstars - driving results and a high retention rate for both clients and teams.
• You have a solid understanding of the issues and opportunities in the communications industry within Malaysia
• You bring with you experience in managing senior clients and mentoring junior team members.
• Bonus if you have media training or crisis communications experience.
