The Responsibilities:
- Develop media relations strategy, seeking high level placement in print, broadcast and online media and all content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement and leads that deliver sales and customer retention
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, external agencies, industry experts and media partners to identify and maximise public relations opportunities, and develop relevant content.
- Research, write and edit press releases, customer communications and other related documents.
- Prepare media spokespersons or thought leaders for media engagements through messaging development, briefing documents, and media training.
- Respond to external media enquiries for information in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and maintain a keen understanding of industry trends.
- Integrate content initiatives with brand campaigns to strengthen brand visibility and support business growth.
- Establish and monitor performance metrics for tracking of results and success, and provide regular reporting to management and business leaders.
The Requirement:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Expert knowledge in journalism/content creation, media relations, social media marketing and brand communications.
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with experience producing media pitches, messaging documents and press releases.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply sound professional judgement.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and acting as a key liaison between Sales and Marketing teams.
- Good understanding of both online and offline retail marketing environments and consumer engagement strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
