Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Executive to support our localization and procurement projects. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency, timely material supply, and successful project execution.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor localization projects, including China transfer activities and cost control to meet BOM target costs
- Manage RFQ process, analyze supplier quotations, and establish competitive target pricing
- Coordinate and verify import/export data between China and Malaysia, including supplier qualifications
- Support localization planning in line with Malaysia procurement policies
- Manage project progress with local suppliers to ensure production capacity and timeline targets are met
- Coordinate material transfer and ensure timely submission of import-related information
- Monitor and control project logistics and localization costs
- Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
- Perform any other tasks assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (experience in new energy or automotive industry is an advantage)
- Basic understanding of project management and procurement processes
- Strong analytical skills for cost evaluation and pricing analysis
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia to communicate with internal teams and suppliers
