Wawasan Dengkil Sdn Bhd (WDSB) is a Malaysian civil engineering and earthworks specialist supporting infrastructure development across the nation. As a CIDB G7 contractor and SPKK licence holder, the company is fully qualified to undertake high-value infrastructure and government-linked projects across Malaysia. We collaborate closely with government agencies, public sector entities, and leading industry partners to deliver critical infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Verify project quantities and approve purchase requisitions from project sites
  2. Work closely with the Contract Department and Project QS to ensure accurate tender costing
  3. Review and approve supplier selection, pricing structures, and procurement strategies
  4. Resolve site-related procurement issues including delivery delays, shortages, and material quality concerns
  5. Ensure materials are delivered according to project schedules and operational timelines
  6. Review and approve all purchasing documentation and procurement records
  7. Ensure costing sheets are accurate and compliant with procurement workflows
  8. Oversee purchasing department workflow to maintain operational efficiency
  9. Monitor procurement performance, supplier reliability, and cost control initiatives

Skill Requirements

  1. Strong communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and project stakeholders
  2. Ability to make decisions under time pressure in project-driven environments
  3. Strong cost control awareness and value engineering capability
  4. Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement costing platforms
  5. Understanding of corporate governance and procurement best practices in civil construction
  6. Strong leadership capability in managing procurement teams and workflows
  7. Sound judgement in compliance, governance, and ethical procurement

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's in Purchasing, Procurement or equivalent field.
  2. 57 years of experience in civil engineering or construction procurement.
  3. At least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred).
  4. Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa, English and Mandarin (orally) with counterparts.
  5. Strong knowledge of construction machinery, materials, and equipment used in civil engineering project.
  6. Only for Malaysian citizen.
