We're growing our engineering team and are looking for a Python Developer who's excited about building robust backend systems that power AI workflow automation and chatbots.
Role Description
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (Django)
- Design database schemas, write queries, and optimize performance using MySQL
- Help design scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions on GCP
- Occasionally build or integrate backend features/services using TypeScript/JavaScript where needed
- Collaborate closely with product, frontend, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver features end-to-end
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented Python code
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our engineering standards
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing backend services
Qualifications
- 24 years of backend development experience, with at least 12 years working primarily in Python
- Strong juniors with substantial Python project experience (internships, open source, serious personal projects) are also welcome to apply
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and a web framework (ideally Django)
- Solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices: Testing (unit/integration), Code reviews, CI/CD, Version control (Git)
- Comfortable working in English (spoken and written)
