KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create detailed, well-structured test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on requirements and designs.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities for new features and change requests.
- Execute SIT and UAT, identify, document and track thoroughly and track defects through to closure.
- Develop and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts such as test data, test scripts, checklists and regression suites.
- Perform thorough regression testing after fixes, reproduce and resolve defects.
- Work closely with Business Analyst to clarify requirements and close gaps found during testing.
- Collaborate with Developers in analyzing and resolving any defects found during testing.
- Support the design and implementation of test frameworks for automated and continuous integration testing where applicable.
- Analyze reported problems, identify root cause from a testing perspective, and provide inputs on impact and effort to fix Isolate, replicate, and verify defect fixes in different environments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2-5 years of hands-on experience in software testing (manual and/or automated), with a strong track record of defect management and problem-solving, preferably in a tech or AI-focused environment.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and coding standards such Agile and Scrum.
- Basic knowledge of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries for data validation.
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands for applications and log checks.
- Experience using at least one Test Management tool and one Defect Tracking tool.
- Exposure to Test Automation tool such as Selenium and Cypress is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams (BA, developers, project management).
