Job Responsibility
- Conduct in-process quality control (IPQC) checks to ensure compliance with quality standards and production specifications.
- Perform sampling and testing at critical production stages to identify any deviations, defects, or abnormalities.
- Verify product labeling, coding, and packaging during production to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct post-production quality control (PQC) inspections on finished products before release.
- Ensure that all finished products meet internal specifications, ISO 9001, ISO 22716, and Halal standards.
- Review and complete batch records, quality reports, and other documentation before product release.
- Investigate and document production deviations and quality defects, initiating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) when necessary.
- Collaborate with Production, and QC teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure process improvements.
- Perform routine inspections and internal audits on production lines to ensure compliance.
- Review physical and chemical tests on in-process and finished products, such as pH, viscosity, and appearance testing.
- Coordinate with the laboratory team for microbiological and lab testing when required.
- Verify the integrity of raw materials and packaging components used in production.
- Train QC inspectors on quality standards, defect identification, and GMP compliance to maintain high-quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including IPQC and PQC reports, and prepare weekly quality reports.
- Monitor the functionality and verification of testing instruments, ensuring they operate correctly and reporting any malfunctions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 13 years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or chemical industries.
- Experience with GMP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22716 is an advantage.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of quality control principles, particularly in IPQC and PQC processes.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve production quality issues.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality management systems.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with Production and QC teams.
- Be capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strict quality control requirements.
