Job Description

1.0 Job Responsibilities

• Supervise SMT QA/QC inspectors, assign daily tasks, and monitor their performance

• Ensure compliance with SMT QA procedures, standards, and documentation in compliance with ISO, IPC, and other applicable standards

• Conduct quality audits and inspections on SMT lines, including First Article, in-process, and final inspections

• Collaborate with production, engineering, and NPI teams to support new product introductions

• Train and develop QA/QC staff in inspection techniques, IPC standards, and quality tools

• Support customer audits

• Prepare quality reports, yield analyses, and metrics

• Other additional work tasks or additional roles assigned by the superior

2.0 Job Requirements Education & Experience:

• High school, vocational school, or higher qualification

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in SMT quality control

• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (for medical), or IATF 16949 (for automotive) is preferred

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (e.g., SPI, AOI, reflow ovens), and soldering standards (IPC-A610, J-STD-001)

• Understand quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis, FMEA, and 8D reports

• Experienced in using inspection tools and measurement equipment

• Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and PCBA specifications

Soft Skills:

• Detail-oriented, responsible, and disciplined, with good leadership, teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

• Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Willing to work in shifts and perform overtime when required
