About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced QA & Tester Lead to oversee quality assurance and testing activities for digital banking and financial projects. The role involves leading a team of QA engineers, ensuring delivery of high-quality software solutions, and driving best practices in testing, automation, and overall quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the QA team in planning, designing, executing, and reporting all testing activities.
- Develop and implement QA strategies, test plans, and test cases for web, mobile, and core banking applications.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure requirements are testable and quality objectives are met.
- Oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Establish and enforce QA best practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Mentor and manage the performance of QA engineers and testers.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Track, report, and monitor defects, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Continuously improve testing processes and advocate for quality across the organization.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in QA/testing, with at least 23 years in a lead role, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
- Experience in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, TestRail).
- Hands-on experience in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, Cypress) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of core banking systems and digital banking platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with performance, security, and API testing.
- Banking domain certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
