Job Description

DP World is seeking a QHSE Director to lead Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) across our Contract Logistics operations in the Southeast Asia cluster. You will drive a best-in-class QHSE culture across existing operations, organic-growth projects and newly acquired logistics businesses, ensuring legal compliance and certification standards are met throughout the region.

Reporting functionally to the Vice President – HSE, APAC, and operationally to the Vice President – Contract Logistics, SEA, you will partner with site leadership and QHSE teams to embed DP World and customer QHSE standards at every level.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, project-manage and implement QHSE initiatives and risk-reduction programmes across Southeast Asia, providing support to other APAC logistics entities as and when required.
  • Lead QHSE due diligence on mergers and acquisitions for the Southeast Asia logistics pillar, and ensure QHSE considerations are successfully integrated into operational strategies for both organic growth and newly acquired operations.
  • Advise and coach operational and project teams on QHSE requirements in new logistics development projects, providing practical solutions from design through to go-live.
  • Mentor and support cluster- and business-unit-level logistics leadership, QHSE Managers and QHSE-responsible persons in applying programmes that strengthen a positive, learning-based QHSE culture.
  • Lead investigations into serious incidents and High-Potential events, and monitor the quality of investigations into lower-severity incidents to drive learning and prevention across the region.
  • Manage ISO accreditations (ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001) for SEA contract logistics operations, and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide advice and compliance support for warehouses, fleet, and facilities regarding Dangerous Goods handling, where and when applicable.
  • Establish and deploy QHSE standards in partnership with Group HSE and APAC Regional HSE to achieve business KPIs and measurable risk reduction, acting as an ambassador for DP World's Principles, values, and Code of Conduct.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years QHSE experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a lean manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years at management level leading regional initiatives and programme implementation.
  • Strong working knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation — including the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (Act 514) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) requirements — together with a solid grasp of broader Southeast Asian QHSE standards, legislation and auditing practices across the cluster's key markets.
  • Proven experience driving strategic initiatives and designing and implementing QHSE solutions for large-scale logistics operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading incident investigations and developing corrective-action and safety-culture programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel across the region (up to 25%) to oversee and support business activities.
  • Business fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Legally authorised to work in Malaysia.
