Job Description

Mills Recruitment is partnering with a medical device manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced Quality Assistant Manager to lead quality operations, strengthen compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the full product lifecycle.

About the Role

The Challenge

Take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring consistent quality performance from incoming materials and manufacturing through to product shipment and customer complaints.

The Opportunity

Lead and develop a quality team while working closely with production, engineering and headquarters to resolve quality challenges, strengthen ISO 13485 compliance and continuously improve quality standards.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the quality team, set departmental objectives and oversee performance, training and daily activities.
  • Manage quality performance across incoming materials, manufacturing, shipment and customer complaints.
  • Lead investigations into major quality issues, including root cause analysis, CAPA implementation and effectiveness verification.
  • Drive cross-functional resolution of quality issues with production, engineering and other internal teams.
  • Act as the key liaison with headquarters on quality performance, support requirements and implementation of quality strategies.

Who We Are Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Quality Engineering, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality Management Systems.
  • Practical experience in quality management, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage quality issues, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Experience leading and supporting quality teams and cross-functional activities.
  • Willingness to work on 1 full Saturday in a month
  • Open to junior manager whom would like to grow their career further into senior management

Skills and Attributes

Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills, with the ability to analyse quality issues, work effectively across functions and drive actions through to successful closure.
