Position Overview

Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager / Snr. Quality Engineer and will be responsible for all activities relating to assigned Automotive / Medical Devices Product / Process quality.

Quality Assurance Experience in Manufacturing industry for > 8 years.

Hands-on experience in IATF 16949, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 QMS is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Quality Assurance functions related to Automotive / Medical Devices, both within the company & with customers to ensure that KPIs are met.
• Identify gaps and risk of in operations against respective QMS and recommend improvement actions to management & lead the execution with management support.
• Responsible to handle customer quality as key contact point focusing on customer specific requirements.
• Monitor customer scorecard performance and establish improvement plan to achieve customer targets.
• Monitor all internal quality performance issues as well as supplier / subcon quality related issues of medical products and drive for improvement actions.
• Involve in New Projects for assigned parts as well as in change management for existing products.
• Oversee all assigned products quality assurance related activities (including SPC, MSA, CP, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, and internal / external audits by customers or third parties) and ensure to achieve the desired results.
• Conduct training to relevant process owner on Customer Requirements, QMS and other QC tools.

Job Requirement and Qualifications

• University Degree / Diploma in Engineering background or equivalent.
• Quality Assurance Experience in Manufacturing industry for > 8 years.
• Certified QMS Internal Auditors are preferred.
• Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Commendable problem-solving skills, logical and analytical mindset, i.e. good skill in 7QC tools, 8D methodology, 5-why analysis, SPC, LEAN and 6-Sigma etc.
• Competent in using computer and report writings, Microsoft Office, and Web-based system.
• Responsible person with Flexibility in term of working hours and should be able to work under certain levels of pressure.
