Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the processing plant complies with FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and food safety requirements.
  • Ensure all finished products comply with Food Act and customer requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality systems and programs to maintain food safety and quality standards.
  • Manage external audits and customer audits.
  • Handle customer complaints and non-conformance issues, and coordinate with other departments on quality matters.
  • Manage customer specifications and ensure all updates are communicated and followed by the QC team.
  • Lead HACCP program, including hazard analysis and critical control points (CCP) monitoring.
  • Conduct plant inspections to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with local authorities on food safety and compliance matters.
  • Conduct training for employees on food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum ]5 years and above of working experience in QA/QC within the food manufacturing industry (managerial experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality management systems such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, etc.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team.
  • Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
