We are partnering with aleading Malaysian manufacturer specializing in polymer-based piping systems and infrastructure solutions, serving the construction, utilities, and industrial sectors. As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a QA Manager to lead quality assurance initiatives, strengthen quality systems, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Factory Management team in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and manage the Quality Control team, including work planning, task allocation, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage inspection, measurement, and testing equipment, including calibration schedules and equipment readiness.
- Review quality data, inspection results, and performance indicators to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.
- Investigate customer complaints, product non-conformances, and quality issues, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing performance.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Provide technical guidance and training to quality personnel while promoting a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
- Liaise with relevant certification bodies and regulatory authorities for product approvals, audits, and certification activities.
- Support new product, material, and tooling validation prior to production and ensure ongoing compliance with the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial position.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, quality systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment; exposure to polymer, plastics, or building materials industries is an added advantage.
- Familiar with ISO 9001, QMS documentation, and quality management software.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional quality certifications will be an added advantage.
