Job Description

Solve.Care is looking for a software QA manager. As a QA manager, you need to ensure the following:

#1. High quality of software & user satisfaction.

#2. Minimizing testing time & human effort.

#3. Increasing efficiency and quality while reducing costs.

#4. Effective utilization of the QA team members

Key Responsibilities

1 Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous software test issues and determines when software is ready for release, from a testing perspective.

2 Develops a functional test automation strategy that delivers substantial ROI and measurable increases in QA efficiency.

3 Continuously streamlines and improves the testing life cycle to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting are effective, agile, and coordinated base.

4 Clearly communicates QA results, concerns, and project status to management and stakeholders in a timely manner.

5 Estimates QA effort, prepares and owns QA and release schedules.

6 Strong sense of ownership of open project issues particularly with regard to quality and the requisite tenacity to see issues through to closure.

7 Make practical tradeoffs between time, resources and testing levels

8 Manage QA project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope, dynamically respond to changes therein, specifically using Agile methodologies.

9 Collaborate with developers and product management to achieve project goals.

10 Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas.

11 Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.

12 Reviewing technical specifications and design documents.

13 Conducting regression testing when needed.

14 Monitoring quality assurance metrics and process results.

Qualifications

1 8+ years of experience in managing projects as QA that are highly complex like platform or ERP

2 Experience with automation of smoke, regression suites on API level (REST assured, Serenity, Cucumber, Maven).

3 Experience with mobile tests automation (Appium, BrowserStack).

4 Experience with version control system (Git).

5 Experience with integrating automated testing into CI/CD process.

6 Performance testing experience (JMeter).

7 Hands-on experience with: - test management, bug tracking tools (TestRail, JIRA etc.) - API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI etc.) - proxy tools (Fiddler, Charles etc.) - mobile development environments (XCode, Android Studio, adb tools etc.) - SSH clients (PuTTy etc.) - IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA etc.) - CI/CD tools (Jenkins etc.) - virtualization tools (Docker etc.) - version control system (Git etc.)

8 Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes. Agile and Waterfall software development process.

9 Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test suites and test cases.

10 Hands-on experience with both grey box and black box testing.

11 Clear on manual & Automated testing concepts with certification like ISTQB

12 Good written and verbal communication skills.

13 Strong attention to details.

Additional Technical/Professional Qualifications/Requirements to include local education and professional qualifications, knowledge, skills, training, and experience requirements for the job:

1 Previous work experience as a QA Engineer, or relevant position in the IT department for 6+ years with SDET experience for 3+ years.

2 BS/MS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related.

3 Upper-intermediate English level.
