Role Overview
The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for performing regular inspections, recording measurements, and ensuring products meet quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and effective communication with the quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hourly inspections using a microscope
- Measure and record dimensions of finished parts
- Document inspection results and update records
- Approve or reject products based on quality standards
- Prepare reports for defective items for rework or disposal
- Report quality issues to the Quality Engineer/Manager
- Ensure measuring tools are well-maintained and calibrated
- Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work environment
Job Requirements
- No direct working experience required, but applicants with relevant coursework or basic technical knowledge are preferred
- SPM or equivalent qualification
- Basic math skills are essential
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Must have good eyesight (microscope work required)
- Must have a genuine interest in quality control and manufacturing
