Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Daily Work

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely responses to customers and effective problem resolution using 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.
  • Handle customer complaints and follow up on the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) at the Penang JV site.
  • Provide support for customer inquiries, Failure Analysis (FA), Engineering Deviation Notifications (EDNC), and other quality-related matters.
  • Support internal re-screening activities for customer Returned Material Authorization (RMA) materials.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Medium-Term Work

  • Ensure timely preparation and delivery of customer quality reports, including Weekly Quality Reports, Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), Product Change Notifications (PCN), and Corrective Action Request (CAR) summaries.
  • Provide on-site support for customer issue verification and material re-screening activities.
  • Support customer quality audits conducted at the Penang JV site.
  • Maintain close communication with customers regarding quality issues, concerns, and new requirements.

Long-Term Work

  • Act as the customer's quality representative within the organization by monitoring manufacturing performance and driving continuous quality improvement initiative.
  • Engage with customers to ensure their requirements and expectations are effectively captured, communicated, and executed across the organization.

Innovation Work

  • Establish and maintain strategic working relationships with customer quality teams.
  • Drive internal quality and process improvements based on customer feedback and business needs.

Impact of Decisions

  • Failure to achieve quality objectives may result in customer dissatisfaction and business impact.
  • Decisions may directly affect operational effectiveness and functional efficiency.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • 1–3 years of working experience in Quality Assurance (QA), Customer Quality Engineering (CQE), or a related quality function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry is preferred.

  • Familiarity with PDCA methodology and quality improvement practices.
  • Good understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and the electronics industry.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and global teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
